EDIT: So I'm back from Florida!
I'm pleased to say that the business trip was a success, we completed the project and had room to double check a portion of it It was definitely interesting, the project required us to work late 2nd shift, meaning that we didn't get done until 1 or even 2 in the morning! But at least we had the whole day to do what we wanted, so I visited the beach I took a shot, take a look! Deerfield Beach, FL
Outside of that, hotel was nice, food was nice, and everything went smoothly, except for having one of my flights delayed, which left me with only a 10-minute layover, which thankfully, we made But now I'm back at home, and back on schedule Thanks for reading.

Looks like I'm going to be off Deviantart for a few days, I'm going to Florida
How did this happen, so quickly? Well, it was a normal day at the office. And out of the clear blue sky, one of my managers called me and the other new guy into the conference room to "talk". Turns out that there has been a mishap, one of our previous projects the company had traveled out to had not been completed, so they needed to fly out there THIS Saturday and there was a shortage of co-workers who were available. The new worker declined on the grounds of already having plans. So it was all up to me
So, looks like I'll be in Florida running transportation analyses just north of Miami with one other co-worker. I never made travel arrangements before, and have flown without my family coordinating everything, so I must admit, as I'm leaving in 12 hours, I'm quite nervous. I'm also hoping that I got the skills to conduct a project correctly that I'm flying hundreds of miles to perform.
But hey, jets, hotels, and a possible visit to the beach, all when I originally had nothing planned this weekend. Just hope all the arrangements and the work goes over well.
Well, that's all. Peace

May You Continue
Okay, I confess, this journal is long overdue. I wrote this back in May of this year when Eclipse just launched, when the scale of the Coronavirus was just starting to sink in. But better late than never. Whenever someone replied back to me in the forums months after the fact, I always appreciated it even if I had long forgotten the subject. Regarding Eclipse: I loathe it and no, after 3 months of use it has never grown on me. I had other criticisms about dA, but Eclipse alone has nearly killed my interest in this site. Though I figure the people who have wanted to leave are probably already gone, I'll still share this link for anyone contemplating a new art home: On Coronavirus: I know the anxieties about the coronavirus are still alive and well, regardless of almost everything reopening. There’s not enough comfort to enjoy the amenities that are available, and those who do are probably met with forms of disdain and resentfulness by those who understandably want to minimize the
Jevoa the Adaptor!
Hey everyone-- Big News!
My book Jevoa the Adaptor was just accepted by a publisher and I have been offered my first contract :excited:
So I'm doing my due-diligence in reading the terms and conditions and looking towards hiring a lawyer/attorney so I can attain a complete understanding of the fine print. It's looking good so far! If there are no red flags revealed and I do decide to pursue this opportunity, I'll definitely be blogging about it here.

The Tens
Seeing how it's December 26th, I'll start by wishing everyone had a Merry Christmas!
It's double the major milestones being both the end of the year and the end of a decade, so I'm going to reflect on both.
2010('s):
Ahh, 2010. I think this decade (at least in America) has really signified the dominance and borderline monopolistic nature of technology across companies/businesses and everyday lives, as we push apps, convenience, automated services, and Artificial Intelligence to their extremes. Case and point: Facial Recognition Tech for your computers and phones, Amazon Key, Microchip Credit Card Implants, Alexa & Siri. (which,
Austria!
Something I've always been fascinated with is the notion of traveling somewhere by random chance. The military, site-specific companies, and the in-laws of the spouse you've married all carry that chance to travel to and associate with locations you've had no connection to :XD:
Well turns out in this case, it wasn't an in-laws family, it was my own! I've been united for the first time with family I discovered I had living in Austria =D
We flew out of Chicago, landed in Sweden for a layover, and then flew over to Vienna!
We took two sightseeing tours around the city, visiting various churches, like the Karlsplatz and Stephansdom; and got to
